I: Do Now:

Take out creative writing materials (pen and

paper) or if you work better on a blank

document on the chrome, you may use one.

Please keep in mind if you are off task on the

chrome, you will lose your privileges.

Choose ONE of the following prompts to

begin your writing:

  1. Write about one (or both) of your parents.
  2. Start with “I was born…”
  3. The most beautiful smile I ever saw…
  4. I believe that animals exist to…
  5. A twinkling eye can mean many things. Start with a twinkle in someone’s eye and see where it takes you.
  6. Good versus evil. Do they truly exist? Are there gray areas? Do good people do bad things?
You will write for thirty minutes. If you

encounter writer's block, please take five

deep breaths and try to re-focus.

II: Share Out: In your table groups, share a

portion (or all if you're feeling brave) of what

you wrote! Ask for warm and cool feedback.

III: Re-assemble groups to complete our

press passes and Yearbook Company

presentations.

IV: Food list for class picnic

V: Exit - shout-outs and call-outs
